A sustainable approach to business takes into account the long-term economic, environmental and social impacts of a company’s decisions and actions. It also means open, meaningful and ongoing communication with the company’s many stakeholders. 

At SWEPCO and American Electric Power, we are embracing sustainability as an essential part of who we are and what we do.  That effort includes our Corporate Sustainability Report, which goes well beyond the traditional financial focus of a corporate annual report and candidly discusses important issues facing our company and our society. Those issues include:

• Energy security, reliability and growth
• Leadership, management and strategy
• Public policy strategy
• Work force issues
• Stakeholder engagement

While this report covers AEP as a whole, each of the seven areas of focus involves some aspect of SWEPCO’s operations in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.
