The BREMCO/SWEPCO Scholarship Fund Corporation was established in October 2007. The purpose of the Corporation is to award scholarships to eligible student applicants. The scholarship amount will be a maximum of $3,000 annually.
The eligibility requirements are as follows:
- The applicant must be a former member or child of a former member of Bossier Rural Electric Membership Corporation. This information is subject to verification based on the records of the former BREMCO Membership Corporation.
- The applicant must be a high school graduate or graduating student who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited Louisiana university, college or technical college/school.
- The applicant must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
All scholarships for the 2008-2009 academic year have been awarded.
Applications for 2009-2010 will be available in the first quarter of 2009.
