PSO 2010-2012 Summer Peaking RFP

AEP operating subsidiaries Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) and Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) have issued a Request for Proposals for the purchase of capacity and associated energy for the 2010 - 2012 summer peaking periods. A month-long comment period on a draft RFP has resulted in revisions to the credit requirements included in the final RFP.

The proposed RFP schedule is as follows:

July 18, 2008 Hold technical conference
July 25, 2008 Final date for comments
August 1, 2008 Issue RFP
August 29, 2008 Proposals due
September 26, 2008 Select short-list
October 17, 2008 Final selection
