RFP for Gas Service
Southwestern Electric Power Company is seeking proposals for natural gas service for the planned 500 MW combined cycle Stall Unit in Shreveport commencing with the expected commercial operation date of May 1, 2010. The RFP is soliciting a combination of firm and/or interruptible natural gas transportation service and/or delivered gas supply to serve the facility's fuel requirements. The competitive bidding process is anticipated to provide a reasonably priced, flexible and reliable fuel supply for the facility, and is designed to ensure that all bidders are treated in an equitable and consistent manner.
