Setting up SWEPCO Voice Assistant

SWEPCO Voice Assistant is currently supported on the following platforms.

Amazon Alexa

  1. Locate the Southwestern Electric Power Company skill in the Amazon Skill store or using the Amazon Alexa application on your smartphone
  2. Enable the skill and follow the on-screen prompts

Google Assistant

  1. Ask your assistant to "Talk to SWEPCO" or tap "Explore" and search for "SWEPCO" in the Assistant App
  2. Invoke the action "Talk to SWEPCO" and ask a question
  3. Enter the provided link on your smartphone to sign in

Frequently asked questions

On smart speakers powered by Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. It also works on the Alexa app and Google Assistant App.
No. If you provide feedback through your smart speaker, your comment will be converted to text and shared anonymously with SWEPCO.

Both iOS and Android operate the same here.

App:

  1. Open the Google Assistant App
  2. Tap the Explore Icon (looks like a compass)
  3. Search for the Action
  4. Tap the Icon for the one you are looking for
  5. Tap Unlink
  6. Tap Link

If tapping the link doesn't work, close google assistant and re-open. Then you should be able to link again.

Browser:

  1. Open a mobile browser
  2. Enter https://assistant.google.com/explore
  3. Tap Your Actions
  4. Tap the Icon for the one you are looking for
  5. Tap Unlink
