Skinny Louisiana recipes serve up savings

February 11, 2020

Are you cooking meals at home using an electric appliance or two? The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that cooking accounts for 4.5 percent of your energy bill; electric cooking can reduce that bill while helping you cook food faster and better.

SWEPCO is collaborating with Skinny Louisiana's Shelly Marie Redmond to provide our customers with recipes using electric appliances, including an induction cooktop, Instant Pot, slow cooker and more.

You can find her latest recipes at swepco.com/recipes – a new site development to help our customers save more money and energy at home.

And, if you’re interested in learning about other appliances that will help lower your bill, be sure to visit the Efficient Appliances page of SWEPCO.com, too!
