COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 18, 2013 – American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) is seeking offers for the supply of compliance coal to one or more of its generating stations.

AEP is seeking spot-coal delivery proposals for 20,000 tons per month for five months beginning May 1. In addition to the base tonnage, AEP is seeking a monthly option of 10,000 tons per month during the term, delivered by rail and/or barge. AEP is open to alternative pricing structures or other innovative, value-added concepts. Proposals with alternative terms will be accepted. Accepted bids will be at AEP’s discretion.
