In a recent Ways to Save segment, Region Communication Manager Amy Schlesing highlighted how these new meters are giving customers more control, more information, and more reliable service than ever before.

As Amy explained, this technology helps the utility respond more proactively: “We’re able to help those customers in a more proactive way by being alerted to issues.”
The result is quicker restoration times and fewer unknown outages.

How Customers Will Be Notified
As installations continue across Arkansas, customers will receive notifications in several ways:
- A doorhanger once the meter is installed or a doorhanger requesting the customer to schedule an appointment if special access is needed
- Phone messages
- Postcards
These notifications ensure customers know what to expect and when installation will occur.
