Today, SWEPCO signed the White House Ratepayer Protection Pledge, announced by President Trump, reaffirming a commitment we've long made to our customers: growth should pay for growth, and existing customers should be protected as new large energy users connect to our system. 

At SWEPCO, our focus is simple. We work every day to provide safe, reliable power and keep rates reasonable for the customers and communities we serve. That commitment is guided by AEP's Powering Fairness principles, which focus on ensuring customers benefit from economic growth while costs are assigned fairly and transparently. 

As our region grows, new businesses bring jobs, investment, and opportunities to our communities. They also require new energy infrastructure. Our commitment is that large customers should pay the costs needed to serve them, helping protect residential and business customers while supporting a stronger, more reliable electric system. 

While the only announced data center project in our service territory today is in Louisiana, this commitment extends across Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. We have a duty to serve all customers, protect them from unnecessary costs, and ensure we have the grid needed to support future growth and opportunity. 

When growth is planned the right way, everyone benefits. New investment can strengthen the electric grid, improve reliability, support local jobs, and create long-term value for the communities we serve. That's what fairness means to us: protecting customers while sharing the benefits of economic growth.
