SWEPCO works hard to address customer concerns and feedback as quickly and thoroughly as possible. Recently, feedback from a couple of SWEPCO customers landed on the desk of President and COO Brett Mattison, and he was quick to celebrate and applaud the outstanding efforts of two SWEPCO lineworkers- Mike Smith and Joshua Morris.

Addressing them both at a gathering of SWEPCO’s executive leadership in Shreveport, Mattison emphasized the profound impact their work has on the lives of customers. “To that customer, you may be the only person they deal with. They may never call the solution center or pick up the phone and talk to anybody in there. You’re SWEPCO to them.”

Smith and Morris were singled out by SWEPCO customers for going above and beyond on two separate calls for service. Their dedication did not go unnoticed, as SWEPCO District System Supervisor Cody Simmons joined Mattison in commending their exceptional performance.

Recognizing that technology has come a long way, Simmons also pointed out one of the most important things at SWEPCO hasn’t changed – our customers.

“They’re there for us,” explained Simmons. “We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them. I appreciate you two and the way you handled yourself in the field. It means a lot.”

Both customers took the time to reach out to customer service to thank the men for their efforts and professionalism. Morris was credited by one customer for working “swiftly” while following “all the safety procedures”. And Smith was thanked for solving a problem that had caused “extreme aggravation” to that customer, an issue that “was explained and solved quickly.”
