Introducing Your SWEPCO Energy Services Team
In addition to robust incentives to help pay for energy efficient equipment, SWEPCO offers a variety of customer support solutions through our Energy Services team. With dedicated representatives in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, SWEPCO Energy Services offers:
- Electrification education and evaluation services for both commercial and residential customers
- Energy education and project support services for the building and transportation design community, including architects, engineers, builders and developers
Internally, the team acts as customer advocates, assisting customers with a singular point of contact across multiple departments to accomplish goals on new construction developments and renovation projects.
"Our recently formed Energy Services team collaborates with the Energy Efficiency team and other departments to inform customers of the most efficient, environmentally responsible and lowest lifetime equipment cost options available to them prior to the start of construction," says John Jones, SWEPCO Energy Services Program Manager.
"By engaging with a customer on potential energy usage and SWEPCO bill impacts before the start of operation, we are better able to advise the customer on the total cost of ownership factors, minimize project surprises, meet implementation timelines and deliver long-term customer satisfaction."
A Brave New World - Choices for Today and Tomorrow
Whether you are building a new commercial facility, starting a new business, or making improvements at an existing manufacturing plant – we realize our customers are faced with a daunting array of choices on equipment technology.
Estimating operational costs of equipment and their environmental impacts or understanding utility tariff structures can be challenging without help.
Often, the most simple or lowest initial cost choice today can be an unexpected burden to operational budgets in the future.
In addition, simple omissions from initial infrastructure decisions made today can add unnecessary costs in the future.
"By providing customer-specific evaluations, the Energy Services team can bring their considerable resources to bear across all market sectors," Jones says.
Resources for Customer-Owned High-Voltage Equipment
Specific to large commercial, industrial, and oil & gas industries, customers may need to rely on AEP’s resources and service expertise for customer-owned, high-voltage distribution and transmission equipment. In coordination with AEP’s Associated Business Development (ABD) team, the SWEPCO Energy Services team can assist with design, procurement and construction services on unplanned emergency equipment failures as well as with planning for future service arrangements. This also includes equipment and parts sales, leasing options, maintenance agreements and more.
