The Wilkes Power Plant team joined the Avinger Wildflower Trails Festival on April 25, sharing hydration tips and handing out water to help keep attendees refreshed throughout the event. It was a simple way to support the community and connect with the people SWEPCO serves every day.

Louie was a crowd favorite, drawing families to stop by, take photos, and learn more about the importance of staying hydrated during outdoor activities, particularly as temperatures rise.

“Events like this remind us how important it is to show up for our community,” said Pete Civitarese. “It’s a chance to support our neighbors and be part of something positive.”

The team looks forward to returning next year and continuing to build strong community connections.
